The following disclosures apply specifically to users of the Lage Hire app and supplement the general provisions of this policy.
When using the Lage Hire app, photographs are captured at key points in the hire process, including equipment condition photos taken at pickup and return, and photographs of the hire location or equipment setup where required. These images are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of documenting equipment condition, resolving disputes, and maintaining hire records. Photos are retained for the duration of the hire agreement plus a reasonable period thereafter for dispute resolution purposes.
To comply with our hire agreement requirements and verify eligibility to operate equipment, the Lage Hire app may capture a photograph of your driver’s licence or relevant operator ticket or certification at the point of pickup. This information is treated as sensitive personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. It is stored securely, accessible only to authorised Lage staff, used solely for identity and eligibility verification, and is not shared with third parties except where required by law.
If you grant permission, the Lage Hire app collects a device push notification token provided by Expo (a third-party notification service). This token is used to send you booking confirmations, pickup and return reminders, and work order updates relevant to your hire activity. You may withdraw notification permission at any time through your device settings. Notification tokens are not used for marketing purposes and are not shared with third parties beyond the delivery infrastructure required to send the notification.
